Hi Guys,
Today I’m going to give you a quick tip that can increase your website profits EASILY. And you can apply this to your site TODAY.
See… I heard for so long that having “misspellings” on your website wasn’t that big of a deal.
That it actually helps… because it shows that we are “human” and we make mistakes; and therefore, making prospects feel comfortable buying from us. (cuz we are “human”)
Well, I just found this THEORY to be quite wrong.
You see…
I recently created this niche site, started driving traffic, and sales started to come in…
Then, Pavel (my customer support guy), told me that I had misspelled a few words on the page, and that some visitors were asking “why?”
I left the misspelled words, just to see what happened… well, more tickets came in of people asking why we had typos…
See, after about a week, I fixed the typos and I quickly noticed I was getting a bit more sales!
=================================
My GUESS IS….
=================================
I think the reason typos were hurting our sales was because visitors were questioning our professionalism.
After all, if you truly are a professional online business… shouldn’t you be hiring employees who can spell?
So they probably think something like:
“You want me to buy from you? a ’so-called’ professional company, with a secure server, but with staff members who can’t even spell?”
“Sorry. No Thanks. Bye”
Maybe that’s a bit extreme.
But my point is this… if you give your visitors “doubts” about ordering…
If he starts asking himself things like: “Why are there misspellings; maybe they’re not legit”
Chances are you’ll lose the sale.
People will have doubts. But lets not give them ‘doubts’ which we can easily avoid by paying more attention to our spelling.
(That’s all I’m saying
=================================
Weird, Right?
=================================
I thought it was weird. All this time I had never really cared much about typos, because I learned early in my career that “typos” on sales sites were actually somewhat “Good” – when in reality… this “typo theory” has probably helped me LOSE many sales.
My Advice To You:
Don’t be lazy. Make an effort, check your spelling!
That’s all for now…
Take Care and God Bless!
To Our Success & Happiness,
Gabriel Aguinaga
PS: I DO make typos in my emails (and blog posts!); but it’s Okay because I know you don’t mind, right?

Gabriel,
You’ve discovered a thing I’ve know for a _long_ time. Professionalism counts.
I’m a year too old to be called a ‘baby boomer’, but you’ve got a lot of us in your audience, I’d bet. And all the rest of ‘em went to the same [type of] high school that I attended. Grammar is grammar, and punctuation is punctuation, and proper syntax is proper syntax.
We may not use that all the time, particularly verbally, but we know it … and we recognize its lack. And it does have a bearing upon our acceptance of what is being presented at the time.
When you’re a kid selling lemonade from the front yard, a typo is not a significant thing … bad grammar is naught but a peccadillo. When you’re trying to present something in the real world to fellow adults, all such things become significant. They reflect upon your professionalism. And that professionalism can significantly affect your bottom line.
Now, as to your t-i-c (tongue-in-cheek) P.S., you said it best, yourself, a few lines prior to it , “My Advice To You:
Don’t be lazy. Make an effort, check your spelling!”
Make a good day …
… barn
