Do As They DO, Not As They SAY…
Hello Valued Subscriber,
Okay, This is my first post and I would like to take this time to thank you for putting up with my emails… it means a lot to me.
So, Thank You!
I keep preaching to my subscribers about how important it is to build a list; in fact, not long ago I sent out a video which you all loved.
How do I know?
Well, I did read ALL your wonderful email responses, but it was physically impossible to respond to all of them.
Here’s the link to the video just in case you missed it:

I understand that by now you must have been bombarded with tons of email promoting Keith Wellman’s List Building Home Study Course. (I would be very surprised if you haven’t)
Anyhow, here’s my take on Keith’s TheListFX.
Do as they DO and NOT as they SAY.
Do not get me wrong… I bought Keith’s package and that must’ve been the best $9.95 I’ve ever spent. I’ve only listened to one List Building Interview so far; it was with ‘Super Affiliate’ Ewen Chia… Yes, I loved it!
Alright, the product is great and for under 10 bucks you truly must get your hands on it. You can read more about it by clicking here.
What I am more concerned about is… that you analyze Keith’s take on this product launch, so you can potentially bank huge profits yourself.
Here’s the lesson I learned:
- Make a GREAT product. If you aren’t an avid product creator, you can do what Keith did and interview successful marketers.
- Release a mini-version of the product to build interest. Warning: this version has to be of great value or this can backfire.
- Setup a blog and encourage people to post by offering a FREE version of your FULL product. Keith gave 20 products away for free… he just choose 20 posts at random. If your mini-version is good, people will post supportive comments for all your visitors to see. (This will create anticipation for your launch)
- Inflate Perceived Value. Keith sent a video out to his list in which he told them more about his product. Frankly, after watching the video… I was convinced that this was going to be a $197-$297 product.
- Price the product so low that EVERYONE will feel dumb if they didn’t buy. Think about it, I went to Keith’s site expecting a $197 price tag, and when I saw $9.95 on the order button… I was like… “WHAT?!”
- Pay 100% commission to affiliates. Yes, encourage people to promote your product by letting them keep 100% of the sales they refer. Why? Well, “the money is the list” – and if you do this, people will be extremely happy to promote your product… they get 100% commission… and you build a list of proven buyers (a total win-win).
- Have a good upsell/One-time-Offer set up. Since you’ll be giving 100% commission on the front end, you need to make sure you have a quality complimentary product to upsell. You can either keep all the profits or pay a commission to selected JV partners on this.
I realize that all this is much easier said than done, but that doesn’t mean you cannot do it.
You see, I was about to release a product very soon… but I placed it on hold because I am going to implement what I learned from Keith’s launch.
Conclusion: I got a great product about list building on my hands and some marvelous ideas on how to launch my next product.
Please try to look beyond the products being offered… you can potentially skyrocket your profits if you just try to DO what the “Gurus” DO, not just what they SAY.
Hope I made a little sense.
Until Next Time,
Gabriel Aguinaga
P.S. If you haven’t done so yet, I highly recommend you grab yourself a copy of TheListFX. Click Here to learn more about how it can help you bank more profits this year.

Excellent post! I’ve been studying these guys’ actions (especially Ewen and Jo Han) for a while now and I couldn’t agree with you more.
I’ve been a subscriber to all of their lists for almost 2 years now (and a ton of other top names’ lists), and I have a folder in my email account that I store all of their messages in.
Every once in a while, when I’m ready to come up with some new ideas, I go back through them and try to see what it is that they’re doing… from the beginning to the present… and try to apply their strategies and methods.
This has got to be, by far, one of the best ways to come up with great ideas for your own business(es). These guys are constant six-figure earners, so they’re definitely doing something right!
Keep up the good work yourself, Gabriel. I look forward to your emails too… and now I can look forward to your blog posts as well.
Hi, Gabriel !
Great first article for your blog… and so true, too !
I have always been of the opinion, “If I can see it, I can do it”. Unfortunately, on the net, we often get cauught up with all the good copywriting on the net (the hype and buzzwords that are used to motivate us to “buy”), that we forget that simple truism.
Too often, we fall in step with the merchandise hawkers (buying the “sizzle” instead of the “steak”… the dream/hope instead of the reality) and what they’re “really” saying to us… “Do as I ‘say’, and not as I do” – - that is, they really don’t want us to “do” what they do, because then we might become competition for them – - and they certainly don’t want that.
And we end up filling our hard drives with all the “shovels and pans” they sell us on our quest for “gold” without realizing the “shovels” have no handles and the “pans” are riddled with holes that prevent us from catching any of the gold
Thanks, Gabriel, for reminding us what we should be doing.
Your friend in Christ on the net,
Rev. Hal Humphries
An excellent first post on your blog Gabriel and solid advice. This is high quality information and is almost a mini marketing course in itself. Keep up the good work!
Thanks and best regards, Garnett.
Hi Gabriel,
Excellent post and excellent advice.
I just wanted to let you know that I signed up for your list during the 117 Christmas campaign and have been watching YOUR emails. You make an effort to give value to help others make an income on the internet.
I did miss your video but am now watching. Thanks for that also.
Best wishes and continued success,
Angela.
Hi Gabriel,
excellent job on the first post as well as the video, both were packed with useful information that is not generally available at a lot of sites.
One of the parts that really stood out were the simple fact of doing as they do, not as they say.
There are a lot of ‘gurus’ out there that give advice in their products, but if you pay really close attention to them, there are some tweaks and other steps they don’t tell you about readily. Once you find those out, it can really boost your efforts.
Too many products and resources out there are just rewrites of the same old song and dance. It’s very rare to find true how-to’s that outline in detail and step by step what the marketer did and those are what every newbie needs and most other marketers could really use to achieve the success they desire.
Keep up the good work,
Xavier
Gabriel,
I have been a reader of your reports for two months now. Great stuff, with an obvious bias to providing the “best only” information out there. I began by following the “brand name” gurus but shortly discovered that much of what they offered was old hat at expensive prices. I am sure most newbies like myself appreciate the fact that you deliver quality information at, if not free, affordable prices. I have to watch my cash closely and am resentful of those marketers who feel they need to charge for each tidbit of info they share. I’m listening to you.
