Hype or Big Hype?

Wednesday February 7th, 2007 @ 8:19 pm

Hi There,

Gabriel Aguiñaga here…

Okay, I’ve had enough of all the “copy & paste” emails regarding the new DJK (Day Job Killer) product.

Seriously, it’s so irritating to get the same email from about 20 different marketers…

Geez, most don’t even bother changing the subject line.

I mean… Do they think I’m stupid or something?

Anyhow, yesterday your inbox probably received an influx of emails regarding the new ebook called “Day Job Killer” – and consequently, I received many emails from my loyal subscribers asking stuff like:

- “Gabriel, what did you think of the ebook?”
- “Are you going to review it?”

To be honest, I wasn’t going to buy the product.

You see, back when Chris released “Affiliate Project X” he invited me to be a JV partner and hooked me up with a free copy of the ebook.

Well, I liked the ebook but I also felt the sales letter was WAY too hyped up and the product wasn’t really “that” incredible.

Affiliate Project X was a good product, yes; but I ended up deciding not to endorse it because I felt the content fell way short of the sales letter “hypey” claims.

SIDENOTE: His sales letters are amazing; if you know his copywriter, let me know. :)

Lets continue…

I bought DJK yesterday night after finding out that many of you were sitting on the fence, just waiting to here my thoughts about it.

So here I go:

One thing remains the same, the HYPEY sales letter.

If you read it, it’s sure to make you feel like you’ll hit the big times by next week.

So killer copywriting, accompanied with a couple of ClickBank screenshots showing insane earnings; well, it makes it pretty hard to resist.

All hype aside…

Using Google Adwords to drive targeted traffic IS very important; in fact, I spend about $100- $150 per day on Adwords.

Adwords is not new to me, but I DID throw a lot of money down the hole before my campaigns became profitable.

It’s just the price of trial & error. :(

Back to DJK…

Chris, the creator, does make HUGE income online and he definitely does have some cool tricks up his sleeve.

I read the ebook in one sitting (its quite short, 69 pages) and I caught myself smiling and noting my head up & down more than once (this is a good sign)

So, I was totally unaware of some of the technique he teaches, and I “probably” will be implementing them…

But… (There’s always a “but”)

DJK does NOT get my full endorsement because most of the techniques are a bit complex & I believe it will be difficult for the average marketer to apply.

PLUS, if you are the type of person who buys stuff & doesn’t take action… don’t even bother. Save your money.

Also, since A LOT of people will now have access to these techniques, they WILL become obsolete. It’s just a matter of time.

Look at what happened to BFM websites (Butterfly Marketing Sites); sure, the script/strategy rocks but they aren’t nearly as effective as they once were.

Why?

Because they are all over the place & people have somewhat become immune to them.

Back To DJK (Yet Again)

The last two strategies in the ebook are very interesting and I am actually looking forward to implementing them in the near future; mainly because they run less risk of getting saturated because they involve OFFLINE marketing methods.

Overall:

I did like Day Job Killer, but I believe it will not easily “Kill” as many Jobs as it suggests it will.

So please, don’t buy the product thinking it will make you rich overnight.

Let me rephrase that…

Don’t buy ANY product thinking it will make you rich overnight.

Be prepared to do some work.

Furthermore, if you are interested in playing the Google Adwords game, then you should probably grab a copy (After all, Chris does know what he’s doing)

And remember I told you earlier that I lost a lot of money on Adwords when I first started… Well, I’m sure I wouldn’t have lost so much (maybe none) if I had this ebook back then.

Bottom line…

Don’t get sucked in by all the hype, okay?

You can get (or don’t get) a copy here.

I hope you enjoyed this post and don’t forget to leave your comments.

That’s all for now…

Take Care & God Bless!

To Your Success,
Gabriel Aguinaga
